Barcelona's Thiago Alcantara Signs A New Deal Contract Extension.

The highly rated Spain Under-21 starlet is overjoyed with his new contract until 2015 and is eager to prove his worth at the Catalan giants in the coming seasons

Barcelona midfielder Thiago Alcantara has expressed his delight with his contract extension and is eager to prove his worth in the 2011-12 campaign.
Thiago ended speculation over his future on Wednesday when he signed a new deal with the Catalan giants until the summer of 2015, despite supposed interest from clubs such as Roma and Villarreal.

He told the club's official website: "It's a dream to continue with this team and this club. I am really happy. Now It’s time to share it with my family. I never thought about leaving. I’ve always wanted to be here.
"The club has already done everything for me. They’ve trained me, I’ve come up through the youth ranks, they trusted me to play last season in the first team, and they offered to renew my contract. Now it’s up to me to prove that I can play for Barcelona and help the team to stay at the top."

The 20-year-old is a product of Barca's youth academy and is seen as one of the most promising young stars to break through into the first team, and he guided Spain to the European Under-21 Championship in Denmark, scoring in the final.
